Record where the gutter spills, whether it happens only in heavy rain, and whether the overflow continued after leaves were removed. Include the date and area of the last clean. Water at one outlet, along a long run or behind the gutter gives us different parts of the drainage route to check.
Clearing leaves does not establish that every outlet and downpipe is open. We check the accessible gutter runs, outlets, downpipes and connections within the agreed scope. If overflow persists after clearing, gutter fall, outlet layout or capacity may need further assessment, along with damaged sections or the downstream route. Clearing and component repairs are separate items in the quote.
